key responsibilities
As an Accounting Officer, you play a key role in the finance team. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting and accounting processes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Independently manage and perform month-end and year-end closings (G/L accounting, payroll accounting, tax accounting, complex accounting)
- Coordinate and execute IFRS adjustments and reconciliations
- Prepare reports (BEGAAP and IFRS) and conduct financial analyses
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Assist in audits and internal/external reporting
- Participate in digital and IT projects within the organization
qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
- Practical knowledge of BEGAAP/IFRS and experience with SAP (SAP S/4Hana is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
- Good command of Dutch, French, and English
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
