Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Production: Generate invoices related to properties or construction projects.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage payables and receivables for properties and construction projects.
Journal Entries: Prepare accounting entries, including rent increases, indexations, and proportional rents.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
General Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile the general ledger to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial records.
Loan and Mortgage Bookkeeping: Maintain records of long-term financing, construction loans, and mortgages.
Construction Budgets: Prepare and manage construction budgets.
Construction Draw Requests: Handle requests for construction disbursements.
Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow for properties and businesses.
Government Remittances: Prepare and submit various government remittances (GST, QST, etc.).
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or construction.
Proficiency with accounting software and tools (experience with Sage 300 and Hopem is a plus).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Bilingual (French and English) is preferred.
