Responsibilities
- Establish and develop revenue-generating opportunities with new and existing customers
- Develop, implement and deliver on the pre-determined sales plan
- Anticipate customer requirements and provide solutions in a professional and proactive manner
- Communicate with customers through personal visits, phone calls, and emails to discuss
opportunities
- Work directly with operational team to review and evaluate opportunities, book loads with
carriers as required
Qualifications
- High quality written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in transportation/logistics industry
- Hunter mentality while being self motivated
- Experience with a variety of transportation modes: Trucking (TL & LTL), Rail, Ocean, Air
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word), willingness to learn company TMS
(Transportation Management Software)
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with a variety of individuals (customers, carriers,
operations)
- Minimum education, High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent time management skills
- Educational background in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business
Management)
- Ability to speak and write in French (asset)
