Responsibilities
• Lead a category, collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Lead communication and negotiation with suppliers Development, Drafting of Lead Supplier Relationship meetings
• Develop and implement RFx, Direct Awards
• Evaluation of of RFx proponent proposals
• Presentation and updates to BC Hydro senior leadership team
• Provide leadership, guidance, and advice to client groups within the line of business in sourcing, procuring, and managing a wide range of goods and services, particularly those with high value, high complexity, and/or high financial or political risk impacts.
• Lead cross-functional evaluation teams through the sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract transitioning stages.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain or in an equivalent field, and a combination of one of the following:
o Completion of a professional designation such as SCMP, ISM, PMP or CPA
o Enrollment in advanced degree program such as MBA or equivalent
o Completion of a business-related continuing development program
Must haves:
• A minimum eight (8) years progressive Supply Chain Management experience.
• A minimum ten (10) years of sourcing, category management or equivalent, preferably in a complex environment of a similar size to company.
Nice to haves:
• Experience in crown corporations or government environments, an asset
• Experience in categories or infrastructure capital project sourcing that are similar to the company, would be considered an asset
• Certificate or additional education in Supply Chain Management is an asset.
• Certificate or additional education in Project Management, Change Management, Facilitation or Communication, an asset
