About the Role:
Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support to a child with additional needs in a primary school. In this role, you'll work closely with the classroom teacher, ensuring the pupil can actively participate in learning activities and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Offer 1:1 support to a child with specific learning needs, adjusting lessons and tasks to their individual abilities.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, ensuring the child remains engaged and supported.
- Provide behaviour management and emotional support as needed.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Maintain detailed progress records and communicate regularly with staff and parents.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly in a 1:1 or SEN support role, is highly valued.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- A flexible and positive approach, with a passion for helping young learners thrive.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
